You do not have to be over it by now

You may be replaying the last conversation, checking for messages or struggling with the quiet at home. Relief and sadness may sit together. We can begin with the part that feels hardest, without making reconciliation or forgiveness the goal.

The NHS guidance on grief and loss includes the end of a relationship. There is no fixed order in which you should feel things.

What we can work on

  • Understanding what you miss, what hurt and what you want to carry forward.
  • Finding boundaries around contact, messages and social media that fit your circumstances.
  • Rebuilding a week that has space for your friendships, interests and responsibilities.
  • Exploring self-blame, rejection or relationship patterns you want to understand.

We might start with one recent moment when you felt pulled back into the relationship. I will help you notice what happened and consider a response you can live with. Where children or shared responsibilities are involved, the practical context matters.

Individual support, with room for your own decisions

You attend on your own. Your former partner does not need to take part. This is therapy for your experience, rather than a way to diagnose an absent partner or make them return. It does not replace legal advice about separation, finances or parenting arrangements.

I am Kita Tabachka, a BACP-registered therapist working with relationship difficulties, trust and life changes. We agree a focus together and review whether the sessions are useful.

Fees and the first conversation

Sessions take place online in English through Carepatron and cost £70 for 50 minutes. A free 15–20 minute consultation lets us discuss your concern, ask questions and consider fit. If you are outside the UK, we check your location and suitability before agreeing appointments.

You do not need to commit to a fixed number of sessions. Read the fees and process, or explore support with separation while living abroad.
