A life in Jeddah, with responsibilities elsewhere

Perhaps you moved to Jeddah for work while your partner stayed behind. Perhaps you live together, but decisions about family, visits and the future pull you in different directions. Being the person who keeps everything going can make it difficult to admit that you need support.

Your family, faith and cultural background can matter deeply without telling us exactly what you want. I will ask about their meaning in your life. You do not need to choose between respecting people you love and talking honestly about the strain you feel.

For someone new to therapy, the first concern may be what to say. You can begin with one recent moment: ending a call feeling guilty, losing patience at home, or finding that every visit creates another argument. We can work from there.

What would you like help with?

Our calls are mostly about problems to solve

When you live in Jeddah and your partner is elsewhere, contact can become a list of tasks. We can explore what each person needs from your calls and what happens when one wants closeness and the other needs rest.

Long-distance relationship therapy

I am afraid of disappointing my family

We can examine expectations, obligations and the fear behind saying no. The work starts with your values and circumstances, rather than an assumption that distance from family is the solution.

Fear of rejection and abandonment

I seem fine, but feel alone

Being reliable at work or within a family does not mean you have somewhere to speak freely. Individual sessions offer time to explore loneliness, shame or uncertainty about your next step.

Therapy for shame and low self-esteem

Marriage and couples counselling enquiries from Jeddah

Couples can bring recurring arguments, emotional distance or a decision about where to live. We look closely at how a conversation unfolds and whether each person can express a need without being dismissed. Cross-cultural couples therapy can also explore differing expectations about family involvement and privacy.

If partners attend from two countries, I need both physical locations before agreeing to work together. The same applies to work trips or visits home. A suitable arrangement is checked first; attending online does not make location irrelevant.

An English-speaking therapist, online from the UK

I am Kita Tabachka, a Bulgarian-born, UK-based relational therapist. I work with individuals and couples, including people living abroad. You can read about my approach and check my BACP registration.

Individual therapy: £70 for 50 minutes.
Couples therapy: £100 per couple for 70 minutes.

Appointments take place online through Carepatron. Fees are charged in British pounds. The first consultation is free and lasts 15–20 minutes. Read the fees and starting process.

Jeddah is two hours ahead of the UK during British Summer Time and three hours ahead during UK winter time. A 10:00 UK appointment would be 12:00 or 13:00 in Jeddah. My working week is Monday to Friday; Sunday appointments are not offered.

I do not have a clinic in Jeddah. BACP registration is my UK professional registration, not a claim of local registration in Saudi Arabia. Before paid therapy is agreed, I check your physical location, relevant professional and insurance arrangements, privacy and whether this service fits your needs. Read about online therapy across borders.

For couples, both partners attend the consultation. Individual background meetings usually follow before joint sessions, with their purpose, fees and confidentiality arrangements agreed first. If you need immediate help or cannot stay safe, contact local emergency or crisis services; this practice is not an emergency service.

Yes, you can enquire. Both partners' physical locations, privacy, time zones and professional requirements must be checked before appointments are agreed. Please include both countries in your initial message.
